Orange-gold. Lychee, mandarin, and lemon peel. Eucalyptus bouquet. Apricot and sweet ruby red grapefruit on tongue. Sweetness with subtlety sublime notions of sourness and bitterness as aftertaste. Wonderful. Did I really spend under $17 for this bottle???

A very nice and reasonably priced German Riesling. Had with caprese salad and pasta with roasted tomatoes, asparagus, preserved lemons, pine nuts, mint, shrimp, and homegrown shitake mushrooms.

(Wegeler Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg Kabinett) Wonderfully minerally and pure nose with lemony goodness. Great tension and tang on the palate with powerfully ripe fruit. Very drinkable and excellent Kabinett.

Rudi Weist German Tasting (presented by David Bowler) (Tribeca Grill): excellent value, long finish, more masculine (Rheingau!) great balance.
