(Robert Weil Kiedricher Grafenberg Spatlese) My favorite bottling of the Weil portfolio. It has character and befits the Weil style very well. Gorgeous aromas of slate, orange blossom on a tautly structured frame with a beautiful harmonic convergence of acid, RS, fruit and minerality. Wonderful.

Riesling! (Yokohama, Japan): Served blind. Slight kerosene, lime and green apple, cream, with time a little peach and sweet spice and mineral notes. Juicy but sweet rather than off dry, breadth, a little alcohol warmth, sweetly spiced, the stone fruit and apple more to the fore but still with that lime underpin. I called German, not Mosel, Auslerse 2001

Dark golden, Honey and flowers in the nose and on the palate, medium sweetness and length.
Very good wine but lacking a bit acid, strcuture and length to be great.
I expected a bit more from this famous estate. A bit to one dimensional for my taste.
Fully mature but will Keep in shape for another 5 years.

Nice sweet pure juicy apple flavors with nice depth and good sweetness. Clean and sense of uplifting freshness with lovely concentration and floral notes.
