In the mature bouquet forest floor, leather, some barnyard, tobacco and bell pepper. Same on the palate, dark and red berries, a lot of acidity and bitterness. This wine is very mature and showing age, but is still a pleasure to drink.

In the bouquet rust, celery, coffee and earth. On the palate the same impressions, dark berries as well, soy, still some juiciness, but also drying and a bit too old. No score.

Weekly tasting group #175; A mixed set. (@ RvD): Very mature bouquet with currants and minerals. On the palate ripe berry fruits and plums. Also leather, chocolate and some mint. Firm acidity and the tannin is a bit drying. The wine is completely ready now.

For a tannat fairly light carmine color. Mature bouquet with celery, chocolate and cinnamon. On the palate some old age acidity, currants, mocha and cinnamon. The tannin is silky soft. Depending on your taste this wine/bottle is past its prime or completely ready. Drink now or soon.

This is a nearly perfect wine. Great nose, great balance between fruit, acidity and tannins (all great!) and (you name it) great finish. And it did not loose anything on the second day. I think it has still a lot of future and I'm happy to have one more bottle of this overwhelming nectar.
