Gorgeous nose here. Hazelnut, acacia, pear skin. Nice structure and verve. Good length and persistence. Still holding a bit of phenolic bitterness on the back end. Delicious with soupe de poisson with quenelles and caviar at Eulalie.

Purchased locally within the past year (overpaid a little).
Very nice Meursault. Oak influences are nicely integrated and there is still enough acidity to keep this striking. Lemon, hazelnuts, peach, flowers. Lovely

2 days in San Francisco; 4/2/2023-4/3/2023 (San Francisco): This was available by the glass at Absinthe, so of course I had a glass! The nose is robust and balanced with meyer lemons, poached pears, red apples, quince, nectarines, vanilla bean, yellow flowers, and some toast. This shows off excellent style and depth for a village wine while showing off just the right amount of maturity. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and textured with crisp, medium+ acidity. This is really lovely and drinking beautifully right now.

Butter, nuts, lemon, spices. Balanced and fine length in finish. Vibrant acidity, great with a heated Mont d'or. A fine specimen of a village Meursault from a great vintage. At a very good place now.

Sharper than the last bottle and the last bottle I own. Transitioning to a different phase of development but I liked this first phase so much I drank them all up. Fichet is a producer who I would never hesitate to buy if confronted with a list. There is always a nice mineral underpinning even when the secondary notes start coming through.
