Straw colored, scent of wood or straw, delicious with a sausage, potato, kale soup. Perfect on a chilly Central Coast, California evening. Butterscotch, some lemon, on the palate. Great pairing.
Sure looks pretty in the glass with a golden color and lacy legs. Nutty honeyed notes on the palate with minerals on the back end. Comes across as a touch flabby, needing just a bit more acidity. But a nice fireside sipper, more so than a food wine. Decanted for 90 minutes. Love that it’s a lower abv wine at 13%. Drink now to 2027.

Vibrant and full flavored, with immediate aromatics, depth of flavor, and the honey nuttiness of the variety that does not suggest oxidation or a sherry "cooked" character. Long finish, with flesh and backbone.

Deep yellow color. Nose of honey, fresh stone fruit, lychee nut, almonds and brioche. Very rich and viscous on the mouth yet lively and very fresh too. Tastes of lychee, almonds, honey but still has floral notes. Very very balanced, smooth long finish from a perfect balance of oily viscosity yet a refreshing beam of flavor. Nothing dry or old in this bottle. The balance, finish length and range of flavors tell me its not peaked but close. Excellent now 2022, but it will hold 2 more years before it changes much. Perfect with pan-seared black cod sable fish. Works as a stunning aperitif too.

Subtle, should have decanted for 30 to 60 minutes as it opened up after the first glass
