A few of us at the table thought it was quite Montrachet-esq and headed straight to Bouchard’s Cabotte as our answer. It had tinned pineapple and fresh mango fruits. It was rich, powerful, luscious and layered, but by no means heavy. It had imposing presence and a finish that drove on and on.

Agree with the description of tropical fruits....it had a mango/peach character rather than the matchstick and stony minerals I was looking for. Felt somewhat lacking as a result.

A big step up from the standard Bouchard Chevalier, although probably not big enough to warrant the price premium. Showing surprisingly well at this infant stage, loads of restrained tropical fruits, spearmint and whiteflower. Superb length and drive, this will be a beauty, premox Gods allowing, in another decade.

This was fantastic and beat out the '17 Monty and regular Chevalier
