Absolutely great! Perfume and taste so clean, etheral and without any signs of age(petrol, oxidation). Not big, nothing to intense, just clean, bright, clear and wonderfull. One of the greatest experiences I had with Riesling. Perfect!

Decanted 1 hour. Bright yellow color. Opened with aroma of petroleum, but most of it blew away in the glass. Some wet stones, flowers also. Good mature fruit which seems a bit sweet. Good length. This can be kept for some years. Compared to the Keller Kirchspiel 05 this is light years behind in quality.

Smell: Poached pears, ginger, sugar cane, and kumkuat
Taste: nectarine, tangerine, lemon, and lime.
Overall: This was just a little too painful for me. The acidity is really quite brisk and reminds me of pouring lemon juice into an open wound. While the nose was lovely the palate was just not that exciting. I will re-taste this over the course of the weekend in hopes that it improves with air.

(Schafer-Frohlich Bockenauer Felseneck Spatlese Trocken) This was genius wine. Meaty, dark minerally nose with vivid ripe apricots. The palate had just the most amazing interplay between ripeness and dryness. Showcases the ripeness of '05 in a masterful dry style. Jaw dropping.
(Schafer-Frohlich Bockenauer Felseneck Grosses Gewachs) Mineral nose along with pineapples, resin and some slatey aromas. Concentrated palate with dense minerality and a long finish. Velvety tetxure and great inner mouth energy.
