  Light ruby color. Herbal and quite highly perfumed. Bigger, meatier, and more black fruited on the entry than the Volnay. Electric acidity gives a cranberry tartness and slightly harsher feel as if this is malic. Great purity of blackberry, quite earthy, and uncompromisingly tannic. I liked this too, but it is sorely in need of 5+ years in the bottle.
