I agree with TC FROM SANTEE. A nice right bank merlot that is drinking well now. I let it breath an hour before tasting and it was very nice. Day 2 was very good too. It still has some legs but this is my last bottle.
Deep dark, red rimmed, aging well, These 2005 Bordeaux Merlots based wines are just hitting there drinkability. Dark Cherry, dark fruit, tannins easing up and acid is in good balance. I would drink another bottle if I had one. it will improve over the next 6 - 8 years. 05 was a good year for Bordeaux.
From 375 after opening a corked bottle in the same format: Tannins are more in balance than several years ago.....though there is still ample structure Not particularly expressive on the nose or palate...still drinking fairly young....if a bit mundane.....very Merlot with dark fruit and vague hints of emerging complexity
