  Had some meaty reduction that dissipated with a vigorous decant. It is a very savoury wine with notes of tar, blood, cured ham and black olive. There is a core of sweet black cherry fruit and the palate is dense and intense but beautifully proportioned and balanced. There's a bright minerally lick to the finish. A great all-round wine with food.
