Had from Zalto burgundy glasses. Wine was garnet with no signs of aging and high limpidity. Nose was very strong of sesame and popcorn to the extent that it was reminiscent of a chardonnay. Red (and some black cherry) more in evidence in the mouth along with some light tannin. Good acidity. Very enjoyable and disappeared quickly.

Delicious cherry, spice, classic burgundy. In the mouth lots of sandalwood. Some tannin but no more than medium. Drank from plastic picnic cups, can’t wait to try from proper glasses.

drinking well though still very youthful. In the more red fruit side of things with that lovely meaty gevrey funk many of us search for in the background along with some nice spice and dark florals. Probably opened at least 5 years too early

Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Reddish violet core showing clarity; great nose, spice, violets, cranberry, lingonberry, texture and richness evident from the nose; sappy on the palate, great balance, enticing dark cherry; was in Pousse d'Or Volnay.

On the light side. Excellent, bouncy fruit. Even acid pretty much front to back.
