nose- raspberry mouth - attractive delineated red fruits, with a lovely sour character, nothing big or burly going on here whatsoever. already open and ready for business.

Vosne Romanee Premier Cru Blind (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Younger, ruby to the rim; sexy nose, a mix of red and darker cherries, tea and spice, slight orange zest, elegant and juicy, layered, sweet fruit and oak, almost a liqueured and medicinal quality; really good; called 2012 or 2014 Beaumonts.

There's just a hint of underbrush mixing it up with red fruits and spice. It is silky in the mouth, with a core of sweet cherry. There's minerally detail and nice balance. Flavours are mid-weight and persistent.

At LQV - a lovely wine. Still too young of course, but delicious even in its infancy. The nose was lovely - a blushing Vosne, with fragrant flowers and sweet red fruit infused with a lovely dance of wood spices. It was still raw with youth on the palate though, spiked with bright, vibrant acidity lancing through juicy red fruited notes. There was a lovely transparent purity and elegance, with the midpalate draped with a robe of the silkiest tannins. A lovely, soft mouthful then, with plenty of fleshy depth and a gently spicy finish to go along. Mid-lengthed rather than truly long, but lip-smackingly satisfying nonetheless. A beguilingly elegant expression; not one for those who like power blockbusters, but I think it is a really nice wine that should continue to grow in complexity and nuance over the next decade and beyond.

BORGOGNA NOVEMBRE 2015; 11/5/2015-11/7/2015: Barrel tasting at the domaine. 100% diraspato - 50% legno nuovo. Altra marcia rispetto agli altri 1er Cru. Eleganza aerea e fluttuante. Mineralità tesa e scintillante. Pulitissimo e precisissimo. Grande interpretazione
