  • {poured by DH at their house dinner party; he bought on release, Pop n Pour} Health red color, no brown. Intoxicating ripe fruit nose. Delicious plush fruit on palate which with time revealed to have rigor, deep liquorishness, some slightly gritty tannins under the smooth black>red fruit which I loved to roll around on my tongue; long palate. Top Echezeaux fruit. Initially delicious and over time the depth and breed of the fruit in the midpalate really came forward. Wow. Wish I had this wine. At 25 years old still has buckets of life. Not quite haunting but if DH had had a magnum...

  • Dark color. Haunting dark fruit, truffle and spice on the nose. The palate is so mysterious. Darker fruit. Zingy spice. Fabulous acidity and great detail. A terrific Echezeaux that is drinking a pointe.
