taste: silky medium body with medium acidity. Very pretty, but lacking a slight bit on the mid and finish with rounded tones of plums, some earth and cherries.
overall: I should've put a glass of this to the side to save for later. Even with 6 people, it just didn't last long enough for me to let it fully sing. A very pretty and mature OR Pinot. Yet again showing that they can age gracefully

Dinner at Browntrout (Browntrout - Chicago, IL): Elegant, pretty, refined all come to mind when thinking about this bottle. It was in impeccable condition having come directly from Sokol's cellars and the cork came out without a hitch. This had cool red fruit, earthy tones, subtle leather and herbs on the nose. The palate was incredibly silky and elegant with surprisingly high acid on the finish. This was the oldest Oregon pinot noir I've had and boy was it good!

Celebrating Tooch's move to Chicago (Browntrout, Chicago IL): nose: a bit shy at first, but quite elegant with lighter tones of plums, cherries and various floral tones. There is a good maturity on the nose, but it is lacking some depth.
