Opened to celebrate A’s decision to attend Santa Clara next year. Go Broncos! This is in a great spot. Just a hint of petrol on the nose along with a host of tropical fruit. The fruit continues and everything is in perfect balance. Peaking here? Really delicious.
Now it’s time to start the deep dive on Santa Cruz wines ;)

Medium golden color. Nose of tropical fruit, honey, smoke and some super ripe peach, there is also a note of spearmint that is amazing, flowery notes too, also some lime blossom. Medium-bodied, medium-high acidity, balanced sweetness and very good length. A very beautiful Spätlese that is in a great spot now and still has many years ahead. This shows significantly better and more complex than my last bottles. (93)

Medium yellow. Some honey. Fairly sweet, tasty, attractive spiciness, but not very well delineated fruit and short on the acidity front. Not too exciting-I'd drink up.

Medium yellow in color. Candied lemon peel. Moderately high acidity gives it a wonderful finish. At peak or perhaps a little past.
