Honeymoon in the Finger Lakes; 10/17/2016-10/20/2016 (FLX, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Pours very light. Right away volatile alcohol smacks you in the face. Some nice fruit (cherry, cranberry) and spices follow, but only before a burning alcoholic sensation on the palate. It has technical merit, but I'm not sure what the Enthusiast writer was smoking when he/she awarded this a 92. On the low end of "very good," 86/100. QPR is a joke at $30.

Lighter color. The nose shows subtle aromas of oak, cherry, spice and a hint of flowers. This is medium light bodied on the palate with ok concentration and decent class. The medium length finish features slightly rustic tannins. Soft.
