2nd bottle of mine celebrating LF’s Bday at Maillard 30.11.2023.
Rather intoxicated by now 😅, PnP this at least 1 hr before we started drinking this. Roasted barley & chestnut, dark fruit, deep earthy & clay minerality, cocoa, chocolate & purple flowers. Good density on the palate with lots of red fruit & mushroom savory notes on the finish.

Nose shouts quality from the get go, straight from Corovin. Lovely cassis and purple fruit, violet, loamy earth, dash of mint. and hint of truffle. Palate is beautifully balanced, with red and blue fruits, red spices silky smooth, fresh and delicious…..Wow this is good. Has a decently long finish, on a par with second growth at least, I can only imagine what the grand vin will be like in time. Highly recommended.

PNP. Has blossomed with multiple layers of flavors, balanced throughout. Definitely in it's drinking window.Drastic improvement over the last time I tasted 5 years ago.

On the nose: notes of tar, deep leather. After one and a half hours, nose became more complex showing notes of mushroom, earth, deep strawberry, dark fruit. On the palate: very smooth, light bodied. Very satisfying Left Bank experience. Drink now.

Much darker in colour than the 2004 Vieux Chateau Certan tasted alongside. Juicy, ripe, notes of eucalyptus, spices, tobacco on the nose. On the palate grippy and quote tannic, ripe, powerful, but a little hollow and extracted with good length. Drink or keep. 91-93
