Very nice merlot dominant wine. Still drinking a little younger than I would have expected, hold for another 5 years to allow for the tannins to integrate further.

I really liked this wine a lot. Decanted and it opened very quickly, and I think the time to drink is within 1-4 hours after decanting. The nose was indistinct floral and the color was brick red with sediment. The palate was straight up black cherry, sweetened black cherry, my friend said a little anise, I got unsweetened cola, and the tannins were fully resolved. Not especially fruit forward and not a tart wine. It was delicious and this wine is a dink now or kiss it goodbye; that's my opinion.
I think this probably would have been better a couple of year’s ago when fruit would have been more primary and perhaps a little fuller. There’s nothing wrong with it but with a well regarded vintage I expected more. Decent aromatic lift in the nose with underbrush and herb leading the way. On the palate, warm blue fruits, a hint of tar but lacking a bit of zip to offset the drying tannins. Nothing wrong but I’d drink near-term

Last bottle. Was about the same as the last one. A nicely done, well balanced example of the region. Modest, integrated dark fruit profile with a pleasant finish.

Nice overall. Leads with berries, spices, and a bit of herbs. Medium bodied, light dusty tannins. Not sweet fruits, touch of bitterness. Very nice overall. Nothing special, fairly complex. Just a good bottle of wine
