  • I think my first time with this estate. Splash decanted. Vibrant color with just a hint of thinning on the edge. Shows the vintage, with just a hint of roasted fruit and toast initially—but this seemed to dissipate and come into balance with air. Expressive nose. Palate is rich, lush texture, with fine polished but still notable tannins. Has some “modern” leanings but I found this quite balanced and enjoyable. Drink now or over the next 10-15yrs. Should have a long window given the structure.

  • Deep garnet.
Aromas of blackcurrant jam, plum, truffle, leather, tobacco, apricot kernel and autumn leaf.
Vital supple tannins. Blackcurrant acids and dark chocolate bitterness.
    Medium body.
Palate of blackcurrant, black raspberry, plum, cardamon, cinnamon and baked earth.
A rather young, vital and serious wine with bright dark fruit, chocolate and spicy notes and a long beautiful mineral finish. Drink within 10 years.
Tasted alongside Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 and the present wine has complexity, livelier fruit and elegance whereas the matched wine has more weight and sweeter fruit.

  • Delicious - classic pomerol, now nicely aged.

  • Plenty of plummy fruit
    Hints of leather
    Creamy oak
    Herbs/savoury notes
Used an aerator with this one which seemed to soften the tannic structure
Still has a few more years in it

  • Delicious. Still slightly tannic, so worth airing ... but full bodied and complex. With hint of musty fusty just to demonstrate its age. Will keep for another 5 years and mellow further, I guess
