As always with a restaurant, the down side is very little airing before the drinking; 30 minutes in the case. The color is medium ruby. The nose is attenuated with some cherry. I don't think it will get substantially better with age. The palate improved during dinner, but never quite achieved full presence. There were flavors of cherries, but not much else. Needs at least 2 hours in decanter for the aromas and flavors to develop. As someone else remarked, not a very good QPR.

Popped and poured...nose was muted. Color was a deep burgundy red with garnet edges. After ~30 mins in glass and much agitation, a lovely bouquet of cherry cola and earth emerged. On the palate, the fruit remained muted and expressed notes of red-berries and sweet earth. Tannins were well integrated if a little rustic. It drank consistently over two days leading me to believe I experienced the essence of this wine (ie, it was not in a dumb phase or otherwise compromised). Perfectly nice wine, but not exciting--and terrible QPR.

This will warrant a higher score with 5 more years in bottle. It has all the stuffing of a great wine, but it is just so young and the tannin is still overpowering. Patience required!

Getting better with age vs my note in 2020. It is putting on weight and the nose definitely benefits from a 1-2 hour decant.
