  Dark. Slightly brownish rim. Intense aromas. Fruit, berries, coffee, a little cedar. Aromas seem not to keep a long time. Medium to bold body. On the verge of lush. Good balance. Nothing sticks out. But more aging might lead to its elements falling apart. Was mistaken. Great after three hours. Developes floral notes and even greater balance and length. Can make 95 at this stage.

  My first from a case of this, I've enjoyed the 00, 02 and 03 previously. Dense extraction, glossy and almost purple colour. Looks 2 years old rather than 12. Lush nose, red berries, hint of violets and a bit of earth. Youthful claret aromas. A little tanning but this opens out to be quite lush and soft. Approachable but tastes so young. Red fruits and floral, in a Margaux style. Good now for a young claret but this will be better in 5-10 years. Clearly a long haul vintage.

  We liked this wine quite a bit. It has sweet red fruit and spearmint on the nose. Very dark purple and nice legs in the glass. Black fruit, spearmint and cherry cola (after an hour) on the palate. Nice balance of mineral and fruit. Nice length, medium body. Tannins are there but not objectionable. Definitely ready to enjoy now. A nice wine that I recall was pretty inexpensive 7 or 8 years ago.
