Interesting. Extremely extracted. Palate driven by nut oil flavors, with a slightly ragged oaky edge. Kind of one-dimensional -- would've been much more enjoyable with some fruit to complement the other flavors. Still, a silky mouthfeel and long finish of 45+ seconds suggests there's something special going on here.
Tasted much better on day 2, having had the benefit of air and a cooler serving temperature. Score reflects an average of both days, and while good (and unique), I don't feel like this is a value for me given the tariff.

Abe shared this with us after the barrel whirlwind. Light golden color, not oaky. Leesy nose with light citrus. Resolves to mineral and steeliness with lime. A whiff of nuttiness on the front end. A little better warmer to me, it adds some nuttiness and loses the harder steel edge. Quite nice.

A very fine burgundian style Californian. The Wine Spectator is too stingy with its rating.

One of the best balanced Chards I have ever tasted. Notes of apricot. Excellent.

Big Chard, nice balance, fruity and sweet but not over the top. Nice with garlicly foods.
