wonderful pure ruby, very aromatic and open nose, dark cherry, blackberry. m+ density, smooth tannins with sweet herbals. medium bodied, fairly long, a little warm and bitterness in finish.
BC 95, quite high score as a 2nd label. I left half bottle to the next day, the structure collapsed, only dark fruits core still there, don't think it has much potential, should open it before 2019.
Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 4+2/10 Total: 90/100

Decent Martinborough Pinot Noir. But for me, it doesn't punch above its standard level as Bob Campbell suggests (he gave 95).
On the nose and light-medium bodied palate there's bright cherry and plum, French oak spices, and some wet pebble, orange pith and smokiness. The mid-palate is clean with smooth, nicely rounded tannins. And there's a nice subtle mix of strawberry and a sappy dryness to the finish.
Not bad for an entry level Martinborough Pinot. A Wozza 90/100 (3.2/5.0) from me.

Raspberries & smoke, nutmeg vanilla, sweet cherry quite complex, slightly alcoholic vapours, rich ripe fruit, concentrated but fresh & bright, long. Perhaps a little heavy in the end. Very good.

That rustic acidic edge that I commonly find with NZ Pinot - not saying it was not pleasant drinking because it was but there is a but for me.

I agree with Evanqian. I would change sweet herbal för spicey, but that's all. Very good!
