  • Very little to no nose. Bright, fruit forward cherry. Little tannin - easy to enjoy in your mouth. Full body. A pleasant sweetness. Maybe a bit of pepper on the end.

Enjoyed with a seasoned tritip. That was maybe a bit strong for the pairing. Perhaps with a pasta. Good wine.

  • Tasted two bottles over a course of 4 days. First bottle was popped and poured. Drank it with friends during dinner. The wine had some slight sweetness. The mid palate was complex. Finish was long. The second bottle was consumed 2 days later over family dinner. It was decanted for 3 hours before drinking. This bottle was less sweet. It had a little more stem bitterness than the first bottle. I liked it a little less. I wonder whether the difference was due to decanting, or was it an inherent inconsistency between bottles. Will have to drink more to know. Overall, this is one of the more delicious Italian wines I have ever had. 93 points for Bottle #1, and 90 points for Bottle #2.
