The T.J.'s "Wine Guy" was emphatically pointing out to the gaggle of customers that this was not one of those fake pink wines but a "real" rose. The onset of summer has heralded an onslaught of Rose in the marketplace. Despite my skepticism about this being from a large producer, this one represents a good value. A paler salmon pink than many, primary flavour is strawberry with a balancing acidity. Slight unctuousness provides some body. It compared very favourably with other higher priced Roses we had tried recently.

Flamingo coloured core leads out to a lighter salmon coloured rim with a slight orangy hue. On the nose the wine shows bright ripe cherry, raspberry and fresh strawberrys. It has a light minerality and shows a wonderful beeswax note. The plate is dry with med acid, light fruit intensity of summer berries and plasticine its somewhat muted but shows the minerality again on the medium-short finish. Not overly complex. moderate alcohol. medium bodied. A decent summer sipper but nothing out of the ordinary. My sister really liked it but i think thats just cause it was pink..... Drink now - next year

Pretty nice bottle for the price, fresh strawberries on the nose and in the taste. Not complex, but had some decent acidity.

Very dry, I guess I was expecting something a little sweeter but it was good.

Very dry and light; nice fruit. When served with cheese, it opens up and becomes more vibrant.
