  From magnum. Decanted two hours. Some funk open opening. Still some fruit mostly grenache well balanced acidity. Faded after two hours

  More please. Herbal, earthy, round and gorgeous. Sage, garringue, basil and acidity that keeps the tongue engaged through the finish.

  Single piece cork
  No seepage
  Colour is quite young.
  A bit of leather and lavender.
  Plush texture, excellent length.
  
  Very nice
  85% grenache
  10% syrah
  3% mourvedre
  Field blend for remainder
  65% destemmed according to web.
  
  Drink or hold mid term
  This bottle was just entering secondary development.

  John's 70th B-Day Blowout (Sandy Springs, GA): Mine; light garnet deep maroon core with lighter rim; fig, classic, no mistaking this one, raspberry, very solid, liquor soaked cherries, light garrigue, some tea; still good structure, stewed cherry and raspberry, herbs de Provence, great balance; so unevolved I was a little disappointed, after reveal it was a revelation but before it almost seemed pedestrian; hate to say it but the bottle we had needed more time, others guessed 2005.
