  Tasted at Three Borders Wine Group, Hampshire, UK. Summer event, hosted by me at home. I'm a great fan of Kevin Judd's wines and I was eager to try this 2015 with 7 years age. It was good, but I think it would have been better a couple of years ago. The oak has certainly ensured it remains drinkable, but at the expense of the fruit. Medium lime colour. Good nose, some greengages showing and plenty of oak. Subtle palate, not so much fruit, smoky finish. I have one bottle of this vintage left which I'll need to drink soon.

  Nice fruity and minerallity, if I ask that bothers me a bit but is not really a problem is the kind of high alcohol (14,5) but as per the conditions this year it is what it is!

  Lovely wine. Hit the notes I was expecting. Nice flint or what some call matchstick (I think of it as flint or nutty). Some nice fruit and minerality. Nicely integrated. Not overly complex but fulfills it’s role nicely. Went well with crab cakes and scallops.
