Very good mature Zinfandel. Big brambly dark fruit, pepper with a mineral core. Well resolved tannins, a hint of vanilla. Long slightly sweet finish. Not sure if there’s upside but this hold for a couple more years.

Pop and pour, drank half the bottle over 2 hours. Dang, there's still a ton of fruit here, along with secondary flavors. This is at the border of my zinfandel stylistic preference. At least it isn't sweet and/or jammy, just in your face with vanilla, strawberry, licorice. 93 for what it is.

Fully meets all the requirements of a very fine Papera. Delightful with our Turkey and fixings. Drink up in the next two years? IMO the very pretty 2014 Zins of Carlisle across the board (except for Bedrock and Pagani) have been at their most impressive in their youth, and I do not foresee much reason to hold longer.

Love the style that these wines are. Not overly sweet but delicious fruit with a long finish. Paired with red pasta sauce or pizza is a perfect meal.
