  Domaine Michel Lafarge Vertical Tasting (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Slightly stewed, ripe aroma. Smells like over ripe, softening strawberries. Similar forward fruit on the palate, but here it's darker in complexion. Thick, dark fruit for a Volay, but the texture is nice and round. Spicy, rich, ripe fruit carries into the finish. Pretty acid is here as well that give it a good lingering flavoring sensation. Good spice here, but the ripeness is a bit much, and the wine lacks some depth.

  Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Tasting, brief note. Energetic red and black berries with floral hints. Good weight, good+ length, great balance already, with just so much in reserve. Best to cellar 2024-.
