Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Reasonably pale straw-lemon colour with decent brightness.

Relatively simple lemon led nose with background nettle / apricot skin.

Some lemon again on the palate, with a hint of grapefruit, but all rather subtle. Good firm acidity helps make this work, though as the acidity eases away on the finish, so does most of the flavour, indeed the finish ends up flavourless/neutral very quickly.

Overall a very useful wine, working well with the salmon. Nothing to fault except for wanting a bit more complexity / persistence. At the price (for a Swiss wine), that may be asking a little too much.
