  Nothing really wrong, but also not terribly exciting. There is a rounded, smoothness and lack of character that indicates a lot of the good stuff was filtered out. These are California grapes shipped to Michigan. to it's credit, they captured a bunch of the likeable qualities of Carignan. The nose has a nice hit of roses any wine would covet. The color is perfect medium plus magenta. The fruit is a little reticent and weak past the entry, but it is authentic red raspberry, cherry and strawberry. It could use a bit more acid. Still a credible effort.
