Beautiful bright red. Highly perfumed, violets, lavender, stone fruit zesty spice. Mature, open knit, smooth tannins, lovely cherry stone spice, dark cherry fruit, damson, blueberry compote, sweet and delicious. Structure is soft and refined, probably at its peak.

Breathed for an hour, upon opening still primary but the tannins are very refined & grainy, at dinner ie 3 hours later it’s supremely elegant with superb depth for a village, very good Burg that’s delicious & open now, if served blind I’m pretty sure will not guess a village …. 93+

Continuing with the rich vein of 2014 reds. Cool, refined on the palate. Red fruits. Vosne spices. Touch brambly. Good balance with a savoury tone and minerality. Lots to enjoy here. Just at the start of its drinking window.

(Bought on release. Perfect fill. Sound cork.) Ridiculously delicious, screams Vosne-Romanee, now comes across as plush and opulent with a back palate lash of minerals. Underlying terroir impression a bit anonymous but this is just a Villages, true to that but this doesn't have the complexity of a premier Cru. Having said that, an opulent (!) 2014 punching above it's weight. Would be a winner at a dinner party given it's immediately attractive nature and lushness. Evolved past the lean way it tasted in early years, maybe at peak if you favor fruit over mature minerals etc. will last and evolve. Great villages.

Lush, black fruits. Hint of spice and earth. Good weight for this level. Drinking well.
