Fruity nose, full body with blueberries & cassis, silky tannins, and tons of acid with a super long acid finish.

Blueberry and blackcurrant on the nose; warm and fresh on a cold evening. The full tannins are well integrated and only noticeable at the end of a very long smooth finish with all the elements in equilibrium. No aging apparent!

Bday dinner for my wife at Spinasse in Seattle. Thank you, Sir Jacobs. Wonderful perfumed nose - the Cab Franc really stands out and dominates the blend in this restrained, cooler 2013 vintage. The wine resembles something more from Bordeaux than Bolgheri. A slightly lighter style given the vintage - medium bodied palate with plenty of mineral laden black currant fruit - as the wine continued to open up, there is a touch of bell pepper which is evident with Cab Franc from cooler vintages/possibly young vines.
