  Light and complex. Needed a few hours of air in decanter to get going. Maybe 2014s are close to coming around.

  Very nice and just entering its window with black fruit and truffle-laden sous bois. Dense black fruit on the palate buoyed by a fine acidity. Very good.

  This is a lovely Burgundy that's just starting to open its shell. The silkiness of Cathiard is quite prevalent and the flavors of sour cherry and dark spices are just delicious. There is a classic NSG mineral crunch on the finish and this should continue to develop nicely and be an early-drinker in the context of Cathiard's typical longevity. 92+

  Nose was just starting to develop some earthy sois bois, but lots of red fruits, vanilla and oak spice with a little cinnamon. Palate is still very young, but still drinking superbly. Lots of refined richness, with layers of red fruits, great acidity and oak, with a delicate spice, and the finish is complex and long. In 5 years this will be sublime. Glad I have 2 bottles to check it out. Well worth seeking out to try and #giveanewwineago #burgundynick bought from @laywheeler 92 points
