Took a while to open, the cork broke, but it's okay. I bought a Durand as a result, which should arrive soon.
First pour, not great, felt flat. Poured it in a decanter and let it sit for two hours.
Really opened up with that decanting. Brick color, notes of raspberry. Nice complex flavors. Still pretty tannic, I kept having to drink water alongside it.
Finished the bottle that night and it just got better as time went on.
2005 was a great year for Bordeaux and to get a bottle like this for around $30 is a fantastic QPR in my view.
90 points.

Brick red colour with a mature nose showing violet, licorice and some lovely mint chocolate notes in delicious way. Pleasant palate with silk smooth tannins and showing leather and violet on the mid with a dried herbal touch on the finish. Very nice and pleasant way. (Best 2015-2025)

(Double decanted quickly the night before and kept in the fridge until the night after) Deep red colour with a brick red hue and a mature nose showing leather, truffles and warm black berries at first and opens up with some fresh herbs and a touch of oak in a very pleasant way. Smoothing tannins on the balanced and maturing palate showing warm black berries and tertiary notes of leather and showing some herbs on the finish. (Best 2015-2025)

Soft and comfortable. Cassis, wood, licorice and cigar. Light coffee notes. Drink now, and two years ago.
