  • No formal notes- flat out one of the most delicious wines I’ve had in a long time.

  • This was excellent! Nicely integrated, but the red and black fruits still lead the charge with a bit of smokey tar on the long finish. Not a small wine by any means, but well balanced and flat out delicious. Prime-time drinking right now!

  • Am I getting a hint of Brett, adding another dimension? Fantastic, reminds me of the 88 Beaucastel, the best Turley PS I have ever had. Most of them are monolithic, simple wines. I assume this was made by Ehren Jordan, if so it is one of the best wines he ever made.

  • Had with Thanksgiving dinner. I gave it several hours to open up, which really helped bring out the blueberry fruit. Excellent wine. I'm glad I cellared it for the past two decades.

  • Black purple in hue. Stunningly pure (and classic) nose of liqueured boysenberry, star anise and cinnamon. The nose is all about the beauty of fruit, but there is some bottle- aged oak character to frame this. The palate is all finesse, with boysenberry fruit presented in a pure and totally refined manner. The varietal is betrayed somewhat by the slight monolithic nature of the fruit, but only just. The palate profile is consistent right to the very lengthy finish. The tannins are velvet, and while this does not feel like a 20-year old wine, there is some beautiful and welcome bottle age complexity to this that is beguiling. Easily the finest PS I have drunk. A beauty with beef! For those lucky enough to have this in the cellar (this was put only bottle!), there is no rush.
