A fair bit of meaty reduction to the aroma. It is tight and linear, with a nice core of berry/cherry fruit. There's some ironstone and gentle florals too. It has good mineral drive and tension and the finish persists. Still very youthful.

At restaurant in Evian-Les-Bains. Was happy to see L’arlot on the wine menu at reasonable costs (cheaper than retail in US). Though almost sprung for a bottle of Liger-Belair La Romanee for amazingly good price. But went a bit more modest. Still L’arlot is an excellent producer and Clos des forest is no slouch.
Wine from cellar, put in decanter and poured immediately. The wine is light and lovely, drinking well now. 2014 underaged imo.
Color is pale ruby transitioning to garnet.
Nose of fresh red cherries and raspberries.
Taste of fresh cherries, raspberries, a big of passion fruit sorbet. Very light touch of oak as a secondary note, perhaps traces of vanilla. Balanced acidity. Light, fresh, tangy, 20 seconds on the tongue. Reminds me of a valli pinot noir from NZ.
92/100

From a beautiful magnum. Even under challenging conditions , outside on a very cold but sunny day at L'Ideal,Megeve the wine shown. Especially the nose on this wine from the start to the end was just singing . The palate is polished and round and well mannered and albeit the poor thing never had time to open up ( it was pretty cold ) still was very solid and maybe the best vintage I’d this we have had so far ( we rated this wine 89-90 in past vintages) . 92 this time and very good

Cork broken and was disintegrated. The cork seem to be sticking to the neck and felt that the storage condition might have caused this.

blir bara bättre för varje flaska. Perfekt läge just nu med mycet frukt kvar men en tydlig mognad. 93>
