Big fruit and even some oak. Fruit is pushed to the red side of the spectrum but seems moderately heavily extracted and rather ripe. Wine also has a slight heat to it, and a touch of glycerin with the mouthfeel. I just checked, this is sitting at 15.5% alcohol. Wow. In a Pinot? I guess that explains much of the above.

I enjoy their Cabernet and blends at ACVV. This Pinot noir is not for me. I’m going to say this has more oak than any other Pinot I’ve ever had. And not good oak. A little better with food, but not much. I have 5 more bottles. Here is to hoping it gets better with time.... Cheers

Dinner with Todd Anderson: Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards (Brick's, Blaine, Mn): Medium dark red color. Tasting pour. Some earth, spice, cherry and strawberry, pepper, medium plus body, woodsy palate. While this is clearly California in style, it doesn't feel too over the top in this setting, though you get more ripeness with more glass time.

Disagree with the previous commentors. Maybe you consumed too soon. Well integrated fruits and oak. Big dark fruits with the oaky vanilla.
