My Birthday Dinner (Grill Room, Hong Kong Country Club, Shouson Hill, Hong Kong): Bottled in 2008. Briefly decanted then drank before and after dinner with cigars. Slightly cloudy damson colour. Nose is very plummy and attractive. Quite high acidity, very fresh and lifted, stone fruits, fruit stones, well balanced. Drank to celebrate the birth of Han's late father.

Madeira Seminar and Guided Tasting (Cream Wine Company - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Bottled in 2008. Slightly reductive start. Medium sweetness with lots of caramelized fruit, dried stone fruit and great balance. Moderate oxidative character for its age. Very elegant, very enjoyable.
