My last of 6 bottles. Cherry, orange peel, clove, leaf litter. Good acidity, lovely tannins. Fruit just a hint tired compared to the last bottle I had. Still delicious, but drink soon.

Crimson in color. 14.1% ABV. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, cloves, citrus and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Packed with rich, earthy fruits. Impeccably balanced. Cherry, cranberry, blood orange and minerals on the palate. The finish is long and supple. Delicious Pinot Noir that has reached early maturity. Best over the next several years.

Slow O'd for an hour, no decant. Clear-ish purple red, full body, spicy fruit. And, of course the TRB signature orange zest (how DOES he do that?). Assertive, powerful; needs food. After VV and fridge, the wine is equal as good or better four days later.
Paired initially with grilled salmon and grill-rewarmed roasted vegetables; homemade cole slaw. Four days later, gussied-up Rana Sausage ravioli. Nice.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Silver Eagle, and this superb bottle certainly helps cement that. The packed concentration of fruit, overlaid with some acidity and buried tannins, really made this hard to put down and gave the impression of a wine that is still in its early days. Dynamite with fresh sweet corn and grilled bratwurst.

Very good. Classic SC Pinot. Nice density, great balance, long finish. Probably would have improved for several more years but I only had the one.
