I had two bottles of this wine. I rated the first one 93 and rate this one 92. I cannot explain why I see this one as providing a better experience than is the case with other reviewers. Most of Alexana's PNs are of the deep/dark variety which is what I prefer. I even had this wine with a meatloaf dish.....and it matched up fine.

Moderate fruit, mix of red and some black. Lacking a bit of acid, so it came off flat that was a turn off for me. Seemed to lack some of the complexity of the East as well. Not a fan.

This light, almost wispy Pinot needs at least an hour to gain steam, and - even when it does - it's drinkable but straightforward. Light red, almost translucent, in color, the wine offers aromas of cranberry, rosemary, and lavender. Tastes of pomegranate, dried strawberry, and straw, with a tart yet lingering finish. 13.9% alcohol.
This wine is a little too under-stated for my taste. Some wines are subtle but complex; some just don't have much to say. This seems to fall in the latter category, with a lack of intensity and nuance, even after a few hours. I guess this is likable enough, but I don't plan on buying anymore.

Revana Harvest Party (Saint Helena): Both the East and West Blocks of this wine tasted almost identical to me. Notes of black cherry, wet mulch, earth, tobacco leaf, and some green/black peppercorn. Fairly reserved for my taste, with a thinner mid-palate delivery than I would hope for. Somewhat indicative of the terroir, this Pinot is by no means bombastic in its flavor profile. A little too damp and earthy on the back end. Much better with food. 87-89 points.

Outstanding Oregon Pinot Noir rivaling any Red Burgundy Premier Cru. Crisp stone fruit with balanced acidity and medium finish.
