This was a disappointment. A strong sense of petrol emerged on opening the bottle. Then after a bit of air and even time in a decanter the wine thinned out and lost any distinction.
This was pretty good, but not as good as I remember it from prior tasting; the nose was muted at first, then grudgingly revealed ripe peach and pear, hazelnut, jasmine, and honeysuckle. The palate was good, but needs a little more freshness for me right now. Still very enjoyable and maybe in an off window?

Full Bodied Reds (Young Joni, NE Mpls): Pale gold color. Followed one glass over an hour. I expected to like this wine; I wanted to like this wine, but it just didn't work for me. Very stark, alcohol and mineral spirits with dried herbs on the nose. The palate is also very stark, mineral, ultra lean, subtle grapefruit. Unfortunately, for me this was sharp and unpleasant.

Printemps du Châteauneuf-du-Pape tasting. (La salle des fêtes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape): This wine is made of equal parts Grenache blanc, Clairette and Roussanne . It is a beautiful and full bodied wine with good freshness and a great length. Good complexity. 92 - 93+?
