Long weekend drinks: Guessed 2012 Gevrey. Earthy with bright red cherries, bore some similarities to the Rossignol-Trapet of the same plot that I brought. Similar impressions to the other D-L, underpowered for a GC and this was even more reserved.

Surprisingly evolved/ready considering its youth and status - recent experience with 2014s hasn't been positive.
Rich and inviting fruity nose. Red apple, sour berries on palate. Mid-weight and nicely balanced, with really fine tannins, but a bit underpowered and simple compared to many GCs.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. All black fruit with good+ concentration, good length, but overall very backward and barely accessible. Needs a decade+ in the cellar.
