Very creamy, lush, yet good substance and length. Lovely drinking now. A bit of very subtle hard edged spice, but overall impression is richness. Just slightly heavy for me (13.5% alc), but absolutely delicious.

TO T̶u̶e̶s̶d̶a̶y Wednesday Night Zoom Tasting (Vancouver, BC): Tested blind next to the 2015 Ballot-Millot Les Perrières. More focused than the 2015 with tart lemon peel and some chalkiness. The oak is evident but is not overtly so. Crisp and lean on the palate with firm grip on the finish. Nice acidity, I preferred this to the 2015 but that's usually the case with these two vintages.

A fantastic bottle of Meursault. After tasting plenty of Puligny's this was a pleasant surprise. A definitive bottle of what meursault can be; lots of butter, lemon oils, slight fresh nuttyness, some exotic fruits on the nose. Palate, medium body, recurring butter/lemon flavors, some salinity and refreshing acidity that cleanses. Went down very easy, and fit perfectly with seared chantarelles in heavy cream sauce over toast. Will definitely improve with a few more years, and will keep for a while.

I just love the citrus and chalk quality this has. Not quite as much energy as I remember, but this was really classy.

Both bottles on superb form. Chalk, lemon, restrained Chardonnay fruit, deep, lingering
