From Magnum. Tasted blind and struggled to place it, lean, touch green at times and definitely with young but not aggressive fruit. Touch muted . Went with 2014 premier cru burg on account of that and actually more of a NSG as it did have a bit of austerity. Good wine and hopefully time will help but no more than 90 at this stage.

Typical Burgundian style in the 2010s. Light garnet hue. Open, perfumed, mixed red and black fruits, a hint of spices and woods. Medium-bodied, fine texture but firm tannins, a little sweet flavour. Continuous bloody (or rusty) smell is a bit annoying, which will disperse after overnight in the fridge, followed by a more open and pleasant flavour. Undoubtedly a wise option to try Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru.

Bottle breathe for 2 hours. Intense cherry palate with full body. The nose is very light, and it did not change much for another 1 hour in the glass. It should be hopefully improving overtime, and this bottle is unusual given Droubin-Laroze, to me, is always very welcoming and easy to open at early days. I suspected Bonnes Mares is more tricky

Super seductive power you’d expect from Bonnes Mares. Great salinity, ripe wild cherries, limestone core. Second tier flavors still hidden as expected in it’s youth but the tannis and acid is there to beautifully age. Another decade on it’s side it should be amazing.
