Really tasting great right now !! Perfect cork after a decade and a half in the bottle. Consumed over three days. This wine started a little tight, but opened up and showed better the next day. On day three the fruit was still fresh and acid still firm; this wine had softened to reveal increased depth, texture, and integrated complexity. Dark red color with little to no oxidation, and clarity medium, not fined or filtered. Aromas of black cherry, and vanilla. Flavors of black cherry cola, raspberry framboise, glycerin, and leather. This Syrah has a beautifully long fatty finish. A balanced and flavorful selection of Syrah from a special block in the Purisima Mountain Vineyard in Santa Barbara County. This age worthy wine has many more years of life left. A great fruit source and another good winemaking effort from Mikael Sigouin and Steve Beckman.

Slow ox’d for 5 hours. Notes of violets, blueberries, graham cracker, mocha, and baking spices. Definitely new world in character but exceptionally well made and very yummy.

Inky purple color with dark ripe fruit with a nice finish but not terribly complex. Lots of sediment in the last glass. I probably should have consumed this bottle at least a year ago.
