Great magenta color in the glass with no apparent sign of oxidation. Beautiful aromas of briary red fruit, cut roses, wet earth. Medium-full midpalate with stewed red and black fruit, black pepper, sweet oak and baking spice all in impressive balance. Finishes just a bit on the short side but with flashes of nuanced complexity and structure
