Full (Burgundy) colour; fruity plushness, with a faint earthy undertow; supple, verging on lush, red fruit, low acidity, medium bodied; plain, easy finish. Drink soon.

Nice balance of fruit and savoury - can definitely still find the raspberries, with classic Mercurey sweetness, but also some subtle tertiary notes of mushrooms and earth.

Lost lot of fruit over the years, light with kind of musty smell - past peak for sure but good experiment

Cote Chalonnaise Masterclass with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London): Red fruited, funky nose though a tough of wet hay, animal side. Leaner on the palate, austere wine, floral at times, zingy cranberry on the palate, red cherries too. On the simple side. 87
