(CVNE Cuné Rioja Blanco Monopole Barrel Fermented) 100% Viura, 30% fermented in oak, 70% in stainless steel, but then bottled in stages with no significant oak ageing. Appealing aromas on the nose, although they relate to the oak fermentation rather than Viura, which is not particularly aromatic. Notes of fennel and perhaps lemon fruit. Fresh, rounded, substance and grip. Some body here, although it has quite a fresh presence on the palate. This is good.
