Dark, spicy with touches of sweet fruit coming through. The palate is better. This was my last bottle and I think it could evolve further. Opens up nicely on the palate but afer 2-3 hours some tannins comes through.

Bought at the domaine in 2005 and cellared since then. Ryder Cup Saturday deserves a top wine and this hit the spot. Lots of depth for a village wine. Chambolle- like nose - floral and feminine, with beautiful Vosne spice on the palate. Drinking perfectly now and I suspect has some time left. Fantastic value and a stunning wine.

Very good village wine. Dark red fruit, less sweet than most 2002s, but still a tad of sweetness with spices. Balanced, good volume and tannins that are smoothing out. Looks like this can hold for longer but not sure it will improve from here.

(Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée) Medium-plus cherry-red. High-toned, dense red fruit. The palate is sweet, concentrated and shows lovely acidity, acidity that pushes the vanilla-tinged finish ever longer. It's a wide rather than deep expression and is a first-class villages.

Blind. Zero clue this is Gibourg, so different from the wines today. Some spice underneath if you search for it. 90

My wedding wine. Very well balanced and smooth. At it's peak.
